WUHAN VIRUS DAILY UPDATE FOR APRIL 12
EASTER DEFEAT OF WUHAN-VIRUS? Wonderful news this morning/evening (I'm reporting from Bangkok), for the first time ever we've had not just one - but TWO days in a row where BOTH the number of new incidents and deaths has been lower than the previous day*! And if that weren't good enough, as projected, the rate of growth (rog) for deaths has now dropped significantly into the single digits to 7.77% as it trails the rog for incidents that continues to plummet now to 5.61% - both record lows for the entire pandemic. Much more of this and we won't be able to call it an active pandemic any more. The big word of CAUTION however is in ensuring those potential hotspots don't go big and the safe areas don't become hotspots. So don't count your Easter chicks before they hatch but it's a good day and purports positive things.
Given a total of 2,822,311 total tests completed in America, our new total for incidents is 551,826 (+29,320), up slightly to an increase of 5.61% (a new record low ever!) over the previous day (-0.44% from yesterday). Deaths have totaled 21,919 (+1,580) which is an increase of 7.77% (-2.24% rate of growth) over the previous day - another new all time record low. Since the peak in Mar 19, rates of growth for incidents has fallen by 46.02% and for deaths has fallen by 35.09%.
The frustrating news continues in testing results. Today we only completed 140,039 new tests - far less than the 150k average which should be more than twice this level at 300k+ by now. Admonitions about this concern I shall not repeat here. It does appear that the issue is testing kits and supplies. Places that run the samples and produce results are sitting idle or at low capacity in the middle of a pandemic! This is frustrating because I am in contact with a company in Singapore that is able to produce a few million a month but no one seems interested. Why is that? Well, of course, it's thanks to our wonderful FDA making it a criminal offense to bring these in the country without approval. Looks like big wigs at Amazon have run into the same issue in getting kits imported from China, of all places. So yes, our government agencies that exist for the sole mission to protect us are preventing kits from coming into the country that don't perform any treatment whatsoever. Therefore - resulting in a lot more people dying because we aren't targeting our resources properly and can't diagnose issues. THIS IS WHAT CENTRAL PLANNING GETS YOU EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! Please ban the FDA and CDC.
